As our Client Services Coordinator, she鈥檚 the first smiling face clients see and one of the calming voices on the phone when they reach out. Malena brings warmth, empathy, and genuine care to every interaction, making each person feel supported from the very first moment they walk through our doors of our White Rock Family Law Firm.

From Curiosity to Career 

Malena鈥檚 journey into law wasn鈥檛 a straight line. In high school, she thought she might one day become a lawyer. Life took her instead into a role at a law office, where she quickly realized that while the job wasn鈥檛 exactly like the movies, it was deeply rewarding. 鈥淚t鈥檚 intense work no matter what part of the field you鈥檙e in, but the experiences you gain in a law firm are like nowhere else,鈥� she reflects. That first role sparked her passion and gave her the foundation to grow into the skilled professional she is today. 

For Malena, joining 海角社区 & Mediation was both a professional step and a personal turning point. She had noticed the firm鈥檚 reputation for excellence early on, even bookmarking it as one to watch. After the loss of her best friend, she felt motivated to take her career to the next level 鈥� a move that ultimately led her to 海角社区. 鈥淚 wanted more for myself, and when I found out a friend worked here, it just clicked. This was the right place.鈥�

Since then, Malena has thrived in 海角社区鈥檚 culture of support, growth, and trust. 鈥淭he difference here is the people,鈥� she says. 鈥淲e鈥檙e protective of each other and we lift each other up. Even on hard days, you know you鈥檙e surrounded by a team that understands.鈥� 

Growing Through Challenges 

At 海角社区, Malena has discovered her own resilience at the law firm’s White Rock office. 鈥淚鈥檝e always been a hard worker, but here I鈥檝e learned how to push past my own mental boundaries and not let overthinking hold me back. I鈥檝e realized I have a strong work ethic and the ability to handle challenges head-on.鈥� 

She recalls one moment in particular that made her realize 海角社区 was home. Around the anniversary of her friend鈥檚 passing, she was struggling emotionally. Instead of expecting her to power through, her colleagues stepped in with kindness and support. 鈥淜endelle found me upset, gave me a hug and sent me home, and the team just surrounded me with care. That was when I knew I was in the right place.鈥� 

A First Impression That Lasts 

As Client Services Coordinator, Malena plays a big role in shaping the first impression clients have of 海角社区. Her natural kindness and steady presence set the tone right away. 鈥淚 know people aren鈥檛 usually calling us at the easiest time in their lives,鈥� she says. 鈥淚 just hope I can be the calm, understanding voice that makes them feel supported.鈥� 

Clients often tell us that the moment they walk into our office, they feel like family. That鈥檚 no accident 鈥� it鈥檚 Malena鈥檚 gift. 

Beyond the Desk 

Outside of work, Malena is a vibrant mix of creativity and fun. She loves painting, drawing, and all things art and science 鈥� passions that go back to her school days, where she won awards in both areas. She鈥檚 also a big fan of Mario Kart (especially the classic Wii version), Marvel movies, and family game nights. Sushi and Greek food are her go-tos, and she鈥檚 always up for a laugh. 

And yes, despite her maturity and professionalism, colleagues are often surprised when they learn her age. 鈥淚鈥檝e been told I鈥檓 24 going on 70,鈥� she jokes.
